The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies
Steinbeck called it the Mother Road. It was nicknamed the Great Diagonal Way, the Main Street of America and the Will Rogers Highway. Most commonly (and officially), it was known as Route 66. Beginning October 28, 2008 and playing through May 17, 2009, the Fabulous Palm Springs Follies will "travel" Route 66 via music, dance and comedy in its all-new show entitled "Get Your Kicks." Joining the Follies will be hit songstress Freda Payne performing her million-selling "Band of Gold" opening Oct 28 thru Dec 31, 2008. Muriel Cigar Girl Susan Anton who gained stardom in film, Las Vegas showrooms and the Broadway musical stage Jan 7 - Mar 7, 2009 and May 13 - May 17, 2009. Multi talented John Davidson who starred in Broadway's "State Fair" and hosted such hit TV shows as "That's Incredible" and "Hollywood Squares" Mar 10, 2009 - May 9, 2009. Route 66 was established in 1926 and decommissioned in 1985. "The Follies" oldest cast member, Dorothy Kloss, was three years old in '26 and 61 years old in '85. And, like the highway, she traveled from her hometown of Chicago to L.A. - 2,448 miles across our country's heartland - to seek her own American Dream. And, at 85, she's still kickin.' So, too is Route 66, even if just in our collective imaginations. The Follies is housed in downtown Palm Springs' historic Plaza Theatre - a charming, neon-encrusted, storybook old movie house - and is an attraction unto itself. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Box Office at 760 327-0225 beginning September 22 or online at www.psfollies.com beginning mid-July. November 2008 - May 2009 , now in its 18th season.

Historic Inns
Nestled against the quiet hills and majestic mountains of Palm Springs is a group of inns, hotels, and bed & breakfasts, the likes of which cannot be found in any other destination in the world. The more than 24 historic inns of Palm Springs were host on Doris Day, Johnny Mathis, and Frank Sinatra. Today they retain their charm and their history as they remain the choice for visitors looking for world-class amenities with Old-World charm. Most are within walking distance of downtown Palm Springs and each offers the uniqueness of a fireplace or a private patio or perhaps an al fresco shower. No two are alike in their decor but all offer the best this desert paradise has to offer. Want to seem them all? Take a stroll down Bellardo and Cahuilla Avenues where the majority are located and check them out! Then plan on taking part in the annual Inn Walk the 2nd Thursday following Thanksgiving when the inns open their doors to the public. The Inn Walk begins at the Palm Springs Art Museum where guest pick up a map and a flashlight. A cup of hot cider, some homemade cookies, a group of carolers…each of the inns offers some holiday spirit and the only thing they ask in return is a toy for Toys for Tots.

Indian Canyons
Located on Agua Caliente tribal land, the canyons are a must-see. Undisturbed natural beauty is combined with remarkably easy access - the canyons are located just minutes from downtown Palm Springs.
